BUILD seeks an exceptional leader and executive manager to oversee daily operations of the organization and work closely with the CEO/Founder and National Board of Directors to help chart a course for BUILD’s continued impact and growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the inaugural President of BUILD will join the organization at an exciting time of transition and growth. The President must be a dynamic, forward-thinking leader and administrator with an exceptional work ethic and general management skills. VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMS AND EVALUATION

Working under the supervision of the President, the Vice President of Programs and Evaluation (VPPE) serves as a key organization leader and decision-maker, overseeing all of BUILD’s programmatic initiatives. The VPPE ensures that all programmatic inputs, activities, outputs and outcomes advance BUILD’s vision and mission and provides guidance and support to the team as BUILD continues to evolve as a data-driven learning organization. bUSINESS PROGRAM MANAGER

Reporting to the North/West Oakland Site Director, the Business Program Manager (BPM) ensures that all BUILD sophomores (E2) and juniors (E3) acquire the requisite academic, life and entrepreneurial skills through their participation in the Youth Business Incubator. The BPM runs daily incubator sessions and ensures student results by retaining students and mentors, delivering the business curriculum to meet benchmarks and managing individual youth entrepreneurs and student business teams to outcomes. More>

E1 (9TH GRADE) PROGRAM MANAGER

Reporting to the Peninsula Site Director, the Entrepreneurs 1 Program Manager (E1PM) is responsible for managing the first-year entrepreneurship program, an academic elective for 9th graders taught in partner high schools. S/he will ensure a positive student experience and that students acquire the requisite academic, life  and entrepreneurial skills through their participation in the E1 program by training and managing BUILD teachers and mentors, ensuring delivery of E1 curriculum to meet benchmarks and maintaining strong relationships with partner high schools. More>

cOLLEGE ACCESS PROGRAM MANAGER

Reporting to the North/West Oakland Site Director, the College Access Program Manager (CAPM) ensures that all BUILD students get the academic supports and counseling to ensure they are on track to graduate from high school and will be eligible and competitive for college.  The CAPM will work with school counselors, teachers and outside resources to accomplish this goal. Additionally, the CAPM will counsel and advise students and collaborate with all program managers to ensure that all 9th (E1)-12th (E4) grade students are on track to meet high school graduation and college eligibility requirements. More>

COLLEGE READINESS PROGRAM MANAGER

Reporting to the Peninsula Site Director, the College Readiness Program Manager (CRPM) ensures that all 9th grade (E1) – 12th grade (E4) BUILD students acquire the requisite academic, life and entrepreneurial skills through their participation in the BUILD program during their high school years. The CRPM ensures that all students will be eligible and competitive for college and successfully guides students to complete the college application process (applications, financial aid and scholarships). Additionally, the CRPM collaborates with all program managers to ensure students are college ready through developing the 21st Century Skills required to succeed in college and in their careers. More>

technology support administrator

The Technology Support Administrator will be the sole IT support staff at BUILD.  Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, this role will oversee, coordinate and implement BUILD’s technology plan and other technology-related needs in conjunction with an outside IT managed support provider. More>

human resources generalist

BUILD is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Generalist to manage the day to day human resource operations.  Reporting to the Director of Talent, the HR Generalist will be responsible for providing expertise in the areas of full life cycle recruiting and on-boarding, benefits, employment law best practices, compensation, plus other human resource operations support as needed.  In addition, the HR Generalist will also provide some administrative support to BUILD’s CEO. More>

Site director

Reporting directly to the Bay Area Program Director (PD), the Site Director (SD) will manage staff performance and site culture, provide programmatic leadership and accountability, oversee site operations, and build school and local community partnerships. While managing the site’s budget and staff, the SD ensures the site is operating effectively and program outcomes are met. More>

ENTREPRENEURSHIP COORDINATOR (EAST OAKLAND)

Reporting to the Business Program Manager, the Entrepreneurship Coordinator (EC) is responsible for supporting and collaborating with the Entrepreneurship 1 (9th grade) Program Manager and the Business Program Manager in managing the Entrepreneurship Program, which includes Entrepreneurs 1 (E1), an academic elective for 9th graders taught in partner high schools, and the Youth Business Incubator, an afterschool program in which BUILD students launch and run microenterprises. The EC will ensure a positive student experience and that freshman (E1), sophomore (E2) and junior (E3) students acquire the requisite academic, life, and entrepreneurial skills for post-secondary success through their participation in the BUILD program. The EC provides student management support to program managers, helps facilitate daily entrepreneurship sessions, manages student incentive systems, assists with data collection and entry, prepares classroom and event materials, supports planning and execution of events,  and ensures student results by supporting student and mentor retention and coaching individual youth entrepreneurs to outcomes.  More>
