2007 BUILD Youth Business Plan Competitions

About the Competitions

As BUILD has grown, so have our celebrations!

This year, we proudly hosted two independent Youth Business Plan Competitions, one at each of our BUILD sites: the 8th Annual BUILD Youth Business Plan Competition on the Peninsula on May 12, and the Inaugural BUILD Oakland Youth Business Plan Competition in the East Bay on May 19.

Young Hype, a t-shirt company from Menlo-Atherton High School, and Beat the Heat, a company producing sweat guards for baseball caps from Oakland High School, won first place at their respective competitions and recieved a cash award and automatic acceptance into BUILD's Youth Business Incubator.  Photos from the this year's event can be seen here.  Thank you to everyone who made these competitions such a success!
