BUILDing Opportunities
“Many of the things I learned at BUILD have helped me in college. BUILD taught me professionalism, leadership, good time management and the characteristics of being an entrepreneur. Those same skills I learned for being a successful entrepreneur have also helped me to be successful in my first semester at San Jose State.” - Webster Lincoln, BUILD Graduate
High School Partnerships
Your Partner in Improving Academic Success
The BUILD program does not act as a replacement or substitute for the traditional high school curriculum. Rather, it’s an elective that reinforces academic skills while teaching students how to start and run their own businesses.
Our four-year program creates leaders within your school. As they gain self-confidence and motivation, BUILD students transform the typical attitudes about being “smart” or “successful”. Learning actually becomes “cool”. The results speak for themselves.
Easy for You, Valuable for the Students
You provide the location, we’ll do most of the work. In fact, BUILD supplies almost every element for the program. We recruit students, mentors and teachers. We plan field trips and bring in guest speakers. Plus, BUILD is privately funded, so your school incurs only minimal costs.
We’ve aligned our curriculum with the CAHSEE, and our model is proven based on successful partnerships with eight high schools in the Bay Area. Their success can be your success – as well as your students’.
